Bens Imperial March 2 Paris - TOTY2016 - 17-04-2018 Bonjour French 501st Members I'm a massive Star Wars fan and love nothing more than kitting up in my Stormtrooper armour and going for a stroll. So why not do it for charity. In 2016 Simon Cherry, Matthew Mew and I, went on a little walk from the Isle of Wight to London, to raise money for the Joe Ellis Trust. We pledged to raise £2500, but unbelievably hit nearly £7000. So we thought lets do it all again, BUT BIGGER! BENS IMPERIAL MARCH 2 On April 28th 2018, i'll be strapping on my Stormtrooper armour once more and going on a little stroll for a fantastic local charity. Layla's Trust is a fantastic cause, with a truly heartbreaking story, but through this pain comes great work, and from selfless acts to help bereaved families and to aid those who care for children with life limiting conditions and terminal illness. So to try and raise some much needed funds for the trust, Simon, Matthew and I, along with our pals Steve and Y T in support are gonna walk to the French capital, PARIS! Starting from Cowes, Isle of Wight, we'll walk to Ryde, before crossing the Solent to Portsmouth where we will then board a cross channel ferry. Once in Le Havre we'll walk along the Seine River to Paris. We will be walking approximately 230km over 7 days to reach the Eiffel Tower at 3pm on May 6th 2018. I will be donning my Stormtrooper armour once more, whilst Simon and Matt accompany me on the journey. Our good friends Steve Revert-Westand Y T will be aiding us this time in a support vehicle, so we won't have to carry as much. We'd like to raise £4000 this time, and we'd be eternally grateful if you can give as little or as much as you can. It would be great to be joined by some French 501st Members along the way to.
